The Cook Inlet Academy soccer team began its 2015 season with a 4-1 victory over visiting Birchwood Christian School on Friday at the Kenai Soccer Complex.
Senior captain Connor Leaf notched a pair of goals, while Noah Leaf and Chase Miller also found the back of the net in the second half. Brady Hammond had the shutout in goal.
CIA hosts Delta on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the complex, Susitna Valley at 5 p.m. Friday at the complex, and Holy Rosary Academy at noon Saturday at the complex.
