Forever

No matter how cold,

Or dark the winter

My heart fills with warmth,

And the lights start to flicker.

When I think of the smile,

That starts in your eyes,

Your blanket surrounds me,

And whispers goodnight.

You have given me more

Than I ever could dream.

You gave me your forever

To spend eternity

With your gift of forever,

I’ll never be alone.

With forever comes family,

Husband, wife, love and home.

So thank you for warming

The coldest of weather.

With those two words “I do,”

And your gift of forever.
