50 percent of the plastic we use, we use just once and throw away. Let’s turn that around. Join ReGroup at the Kenai Library Nov. 15 at 4:00 p.m. as we celebrate America Recycles Day. We will show the documentary “A Plastic Ocean” which explores the fragile state of our oceans. And after the movie we’ll make T-shirt tote bags that combine reducing, reusing and recycling.

Information provided by ReGroup, a nonprofit educational group, formed in 1989 to develop public awareness of waste reduction, reuse, and recycling benefits on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula. ReGroup meets September through May, every third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Hope Community Center on Princeton Avenue off Kalifornsky Beach Road.
