Soldotna’s Dalton Armstrong recently committed to continue his track and field career at Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati.

Armstrong throws the shot put and discus for the Stars. As a junior in the discus, he set a personal record of 128 feet, 4 inches, and also finished eighth at the Region III/4A meet.

Armstrong also was a starting center on the Soldotna football team that won the Division II state title in 2024.

The Lions compete at NCAA Division III in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
