SoHi grads compete at NAIA Nationals in indoor track

Three graduates of Soldotna High School competed for Dickinson State from Feb. 27 to March 1 in the NAIA National Championships at Gainsville, Florida. Dickinson State is in Dickinson, North Dakota.

Galen Brantley III earned All-American honors by finishing fourth in the shot put. Brantley III recorded 54 feet, 7.5 inches, on his first toss to get on the podium for a third straight season and earn his third All-American honor.

Dylan Dahlgren also became an All-American for the first time with a toss of 60 feet, 3 inches, to place him sixth in the weight throw.

Adarra Hagelund had a mark of 5 feet, 3 inches, to take 13th in the high jump.

The Blue Hawks were 11th on the women’s side and 27th on the men’s side.
