Homer’s Miotke commits to run track at UAA

Homer senior Gracie Miotke committed to run track and field at the University of Alaska Anchorage in a ceremony at Homer High School on Wednesday, March 5.

Miotke has won Division II state track titles twice in the 300-meter hurdles. She also has been part of the state-winning 1,600-meter relay twice, and part of the state-winning 400-meter relay once. She had the state-leading times for all divisions in the 300 hurdles in 2023 and 2024.

Miotke also holds the Homer school record in the 300-meter hurdles at 45.78 seconds.

In track and field, UAA competes at NCAA Division II in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
