Juliussen finished at 3 hours, 25 minutes, 3 seconds.
Also from the peninsula, Kenai’s Bill Wood was 8,037th overall and 6,143rd among men at 3:30:16, and Soldotna’s Lisa Juliussen was 12,545th overall and 4,244th among women at 3:46:51.
Another story of local interest came when Ira Edwards of Anchorage finished 24th overall in handcycle and 23rd among men at 2:24:21.
Edwards competed in the Kenai River Marathon in late September 2017 to build his case to get into the Boston Marathon.
