Parks, Deal post top-200 finishes at California International Marathon

Jason Parks, 35, of Kenai, finished 120th among men and 121st overall Sunday at the California International Marathon in Sacramento.

Parks finished with a chip time of 2 hours, 24 minutes and 39 seconds. He averaged a pace of 5:31 per mile.

Anchorage’s Taylor Deal, 29, took 198th among women and 1,109th overall with her chip time of 2:54:50. That’s a pace of 6:40 per mile. Deal is a 2012 graduate of Kenai Central High School.

Seward’s Collin Atkinson, 31, was 1,440th among men and 1,843rd overall with a time of 3:07:29. That’s a pace of 7:09 per mile.

The marathon had just over 9,200 finishers.
