The Soldotna High School Music Department will put on its annual Jazz and Dessert Concert on Tuesday, Feb. 11. The show will begin at 6:30 p.m.
According to a release by SoHi jazz band director Mark Jurek, the annual performance is a showcase of the talent and achievements of Soldotna students. The show will feature SoHi’s jazz band, swing choir, “several vocal soloists” and a variety of cheesecakes. There will also be coffee, hot cocoa and water.
“Our students have worked tirelessly to prepare a diverse musical program that demonstrates their remarkable growth and passion for music,” Jurek said in the release.
All proceeds support music programs at Soldotna High School. Jurek in 2023 told the Clarion that the Jazz and Dessert Concert is among the program’s most significant fundraisers.
Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased at the SoHi front desk, from band and choir students, or at the door.
“The public is invited to attend and witness the incredible musical talents of Soldotna High School’s young artists,” the release reads.
