Green will again fill Soldotna’s streets on Sunday, March 17, when the annual Sweeney’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, hosted by the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce, kicks off at 2 p.m.

The parade route largely resembles last year’s. The parade will line up on Park Avenue by Parker Park, then proceed down Fireweed Street and turn down East Redoubt Avenue by Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and proceed until dispersing just before the intersection of the Kenai Spur Highway and the Sterling Highway.

Those interested in walking with the parade can just show up at Parker Park at 1:30 p.m. Flyers for the event read “no need to sign up, just line up!”

For more information, including a map of the parade route, find “Soldotna Chamber of Commerce” on Facebook or view their Facebook event, “34th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.”
