Kenai Art Center opens Biennial Judged Show on Friday

The Kenai Art Center this month will host its Biennial Judged Show, featuring work submitted by local artists and judged by Oluf Hartvigson.
The show will open with a reception on Friday, Oct. 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. During the reception, awards will be given to first, second and third place.
The show features art across a variety of mediums, including photography, painting, watercolor, sculpture and metalwork.
Hartvigson, according to information provided on the center’s website, “is an experienced realist and fantasy sculptor of figures and animals” who has won awards nationally and internationally for his sculptures.
The exhibition will be available for viewing at the Kenai Art Center during business hours, noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday until Oct. 28.
