I Still Haven’t Forgotten

I still haven’t forgotten, the first time I held your hand.

Walking on the Kenai beach, my shoes filled up with sand.

I still haven’t forgotten; the first nap we took together.

Somehow inside my heart, I knew we were forever.

I still haven’t forgotten, the first touch that we shared.

We looked into each other’s eyes, and we knew that we both cared.

I still haven’t forgotten, that day when I did ask.

How everything was not as planned, but somehow pulled off the task.

I still haven’t forgotten, the day when you said I do.

For with all the love inside my heart, I knew that I did too.

I still haven’t forgotten, each day when I’m away.

Because I know that in our every dream, we both wish I could stay.

I will always keep you in my dreams, and can always tell you true.

I still haven’t forgotten, that I will always be in love with you.
