Members of the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Board of Education were serenaded by students from Aurora Borealis Charter School during their regular meeting on Monday. Under the direction of Eleanor Van Sickle, the school’s art and music teacher, roughly 20 students — three on the marimba — performed “Autumn Canon,” a Hungarian song. The students attended Monday’s board meeting as part of a school presentation given by Principal Cody McCanna.
