Thursday prep hockey: South topples Kenai

The South hockey team defeated Kenai Central 7-4 on Thursday in nonconference action at the Kenai Multi-Purpose Facility.

The Wolverines, a Division I club, came from behind twice to avenge a loss earlier in the season to the Division I Kardinals (9-6 overall).

The Kards quickly jumped out front in the first period on a goal by William Howard, but tallies by Gordon Jennings and Chase Mascelli had South up 2-1 at the first break.
