Sterling’s Aldridge wins age group at national championships

Sterling’s Morgan Aldridge won the 40 to 44 women’s age group Saturday at the USA Triathlon 2023 Winter National Championships in Anchorage.

The Tri-Flake Winter Triathlon is in its seventh year and served as the national championship for a third year. The event is a 6-kilometer run, 8-mile bike and 6-kilometer ski.

Aldridge won her age group with a time of 1 hour, 45 minutes and 53 seconds, putting together a run of 37:37, bike of 45:01 and ski of 23:14.

Aldridge was ninth overall, with Jordan Marie Pruszenski taking the title at 1:34:12. Eric Priest won the men’s race at 1:18:55.
