Costume Caper 5K draws 44 in Nikiski

The Nikiski Community Recreation Center held a 5K Costume Caper on Saturday, drawing 44 participants.

The men’s race was won by Ryder Maguire with a time of 25 minutes, 10 seconds, while the women’s victory went to Lilly McGahan and Lauren Pilatti in 34:32.

For the men, Emmett Maguire took second at 27:57, while Jasper Maguire and Mac Maguire tied for third at 28:32. For the women, Emily Heale was third at 41:00.

The age group winners were McGahan for girls 9 and under, Tatum Anderson (46:20) at girls 10 to 19, Pilatti at 34:32 for women’s 20 to 39, Amy Warfle (47:09) for women’s 40 to 59, Japer Maguire for boys 9 and under, Ryder Maguire for boys 10 to 19, Mac Maguire for men 20 to 39, and Andy Wizik (40:22) for men 40 to 59.
