Updated: Troopers take into custody ‘person of interest’ in Cooper Landing burglaries

Update Jan. 1: Alaska State Troopers said Wednesday that they’d taken someone into custody in relation to a burglary investigation in Cooper Landing. As of Wednesday evening, the name of the person had not been released, nor details of any charges brought by troopers.
Original story: Alaska State Troopers are seeking a man they say is a person of interest in multiple burglaries in Cooper Landing, according to a Tuesday night dispatch.
Troopers asked people in Cooper Landing to be vigilant and urged against picking up hitchhikers in the area.
