Kenai Fire Chief Jeff Tucker said the ambulance was budgeted for and will allow the department to have two ambulances in service at a time with one on reserve in case of an emergency. It comes with a gas engine, which he said will be easier for local mechanics to work on compared to the other vehicles which use diesel.
