Frost glistens on the grass outside the Kenai Courthouse on Trading Bay Road on Monday, Oct. 9 in Kenai. Central Kenai Peninsula residents woke up to a layer of frost on Monday, with temperatures climbing slowly toward the mid-40s with clear skies and sunshine. The National Weather Service predicts Tuesday and Wednesday will see mixed clouds and sunshine as well, with highs int he mid- to high 40s and lows in the mid-30s.
