The Kenai Art Center on Friday will host an opening for “Infusion,” a juried show in the front gallery, and “Secret Garden” by Morgan Chamberlain and Daisy Jeffords in the rear gallery.
The opening reception for both shows will be Friday, March 7, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“Infusion” will be juried by Stephanie Cox, Marco Mendoza and Jason Notter. Information posted to the center’s website encourages artists to think about the meaning of the title: “The introduction of a new element or quality into something.” Art can came in any form, as long as it was made in the last two years and hasn’t previously been shown in the center.
Chamberlain and Jeffords, who are putting on the rear gallery show, are both known for pottery and painting, according to center information. They’re active members of the Kenai Potters Guild.
The reception will feature live music by the Tuneweavers, and the launch of a new beer from Kenai River Brewing titled Cherry Alchemy Ale, infused with black forest cherry.
The exhibitions will be available for viewing at the Kenai Art Center during business hours, noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday until March 28.
