Bryan and Lacy Ledahl of Kenai announce the birth of their son, Ottar Noble Ledahl, at 8:07 a.m. on Feb. 20, 2015 at home surrounded with the assistance of Heritage Birth Center. He weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 22 inches. He joins sibling Iver. His grandparents are Jerome Ledahl, Joanie Ledahl, Michael Barrett and Annette Barrett. His great-grandparents are Gordon and Deloris Hagge of Grenora, North Dakota, Shirley Ledahl of Williston, North Dakota, and Carrol Murphy of Kenai.

Dan and Anne Case announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Marie Case, at 12:16 a.m. on Dec. 22, 2014. She weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces and measured 21 inches. Her grandparents are Steve and Marlys Verba of Sterling, and Patricia Case of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Briana VinZant of Soldotna received the Professional Achievement Award in English during the UJ Honors Convocation at the University of Jamestown in Jamestown, North Dakota. The award is presented to the junior or senior showing the most professional promise in English.

The Clarion is seeking information for its annual Just Kidding section with listings of summer events for youth. Organizations, businesses, individuals or churches planning summer events open to area youth May through August may submit activities.

Information needed: Name or group or organization; age of youth who may attend; time of activity; date of activity and deadline for registration; place activity will be held including address; cost of activity and/or fees; contact name and phone number for people to call; email address (optional); Web address (optional); and a brief description of the activity.

Events, wedding, engagement and birth submissions may not be older than six months. Wedding anniversary announcements are printed in five-year increments beginning with the 20th.
