Monday: Soldotna baseball tops Redington

The Soldotna baseball team defeated Redington 19-1 in five innings Monday at the Soldotna Little League fields in Northern Lights Conference action.

The Stars are now 3-2 in the league and 5-4 overall.

Andrew Pieh pitched five innings for SoHi, giving up a run on five hits while walking three and striking out five. Tucker Blough tacked on a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk while fanning two.

Pieh helped his cause at the plate by going 2 for 2 with three runs and four RBIs, while Colby Sturman had two runs, Levi Mickelson had three runs, Evan Appelhans had two runs, Trenton Ohnemus was 2 for 2 with two runs and two RBIs, Brayden Hostetler had two runs and two RBIs, and Hunter Harrison had two runs.
