Sparks signs to run at Bushnell

James Sparks, a 2022 graduate of Kenai Central High School, signed a National Letter of Intent to run track at Bushnell University in Eugene, Oregon, on Tuesday.

Sparks, the son of Angela and Jacob Sparks, drew the interest of the NAIA school by running on the Division II state champions in May in both the 400- and 800-meter relays. Sparks also made the state finals in the 110 hurdles.
