SoHi softball nabs 8th at Rally in Valley

The Soldotna softball team led the Kenai Peninsula by finishing eighth at the three-day Rally in the Valley softball tournament. Also from the peninsula, Homer was ninth and Kenai was 10th.

Colony won the event with an 8-0 record, allowing only eight runs.

Soldotna finished 3-4 at the tournament, finishing Saturday by defeating Wasilla 11-5 and losing to North Pole 11-1. The Stars are now 3-5 overall.

Homer finished 2-5 at the tournament, finishing Saturday by defeating Houston 9-0. The Mariners are 6-13 overall.

Kenai also finished 2-5 at the tourney, finishing Saturday by losing 7-0 to Kodiak and 22-0 to Colony. The Kardinals are 3-6 overall.
