Brown Bears drop home opener to Steel

The Kenai River Brown Bears lost their home opener 6-2 to the Chippewa (Wisconsin) Steel on Thursday at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex in North American Hockey League play.

The Brown Bears, who received a pair of goals from Cole Dubicki, fell to 1-10-0-0, while the Steel improve to 7-7-0-0.

The two teams play today and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the sports complex.
