Soldotna senior Autumn Fischer signed her National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Penn State Mont Alto of the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference.

According to Kyle McFall, Soldotna girls basketball coach and athletic director, Fischer will be pursuing a nursing degree with a focus in obstetrics.

“The Nittany Lions are getting a young woman with a tremendous amount of desire and is a selfless teammate,” McFall wrote in a prepared statement.

Fischer played on the Stars varsity for three years, serving as a starter and captain in her senior season.

“Autumn worked extremely hard to put herself in a position to play at the next level and I am extremely proud of all that she has accomplished,” McFall wrote.
