Seward’s Jacoby takes 2nd at national swim meet

Seward junior Lydia Jacoby, just 16, finished second in the 100-meter breaststroke Friday at the 2020 Toyota U.S. Open Championships in San Antonio, Texas.

The 100 breaststroke was won by 19-year-old Anna Elendt of the University of Texas in 1 minute, 7.50 seconds. Jacoby was right behind at 1:07.57.

Saturday, Jacoby finished 13th in the 200 breaststroke at 2:32.36, with 25-year-old Madisyn Cox of Longhorn Aquatics winning the event at 2:27.55.
