Kenai man hit, killed by car on Spur

A Kenai man has died after being hit by a car on the Kenai Spur Highway on Tuesday night.

Monte Necessary, 36, was allegedly crossing the Kenai Spur Highway near its intersection with North Spurce Street in Kenai around 6:15 p.m. when Roger Seibart, 75, also of Kenai, hit him with his sedan, according to a release from the Kenai Police Department. Necessary was killed.

Next-of-kin has been notified and investigation is ongoing, according to the police.
