Soldotna High School graduate Adarra Hagelund leapt to the top of the NAIA outdoor leaderboard this season on Sunday, April 6, by clearing 5 feet, 10.75 inches at the Al Bortke Open in Bismarck, North Dakota.

According to the Alaska Sports Report, the mark makes Hagelund the top high jumper in state history, is third all-time in NAIA outdoor history and is a North Star Athletic Association record.

A pair of Soldotna graduates also picked up victories for Dickinson State at the meet. Galen Brantley III won the shot put at 52—8 and Dylan Dahlgren won the hammer throw at 186—7, which is third in the NAIA this outdoor season.
