Debbie’s Bistro opens in Kenai Municipal Airport

Debbie’s Bistro, a “dedicated gluten free eatery,” held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting at its new location in the Kenai Municipal Airport on Saturday.
Debbie Adams, owner of the restaurant, said she was proud to bring a restaurant that can serve people with various dietary needs into Kenai. She opened in the Blazy Mall a year ago and found a dedicated consumer base. Moving to the new location in the airport means access to more kitchen equipment, among other benefits.
The menu features waffles, waffle pizzas and waffle sandwiches. There’s a breakfast sandwich, a pastrami, a club, roast beef and more, all served between two halves of a waffle. Everything on the menu is gluten free — there are also vegan options.
The process of moving to a new location, setting up and obtaining all the necessary licenses and permits meant a lot of waiting to get back to serving food, Adams said.
“I’m just excited to be open and going,” she said.
On Saturday, Adams said she was joined by a talented staff, who could be seen making coffees, delivering waffles and greeting customers.
Debbie’s Bistro is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, find “Debbie’s Bistro” on Facebook.
