This year’s Levitt AMP Soldotna Music Series kicks off on Wednesday, June 5, with Hope Social Club headlining the opening show.

On Wednesday, festivities will start before anyone takes the stage, with a color fun run sponsored by Alaska Communications. The run will start at 4:30 p.m., beginning at the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge’s Visitor Center down Ski Hill Road. The route will proceed through part of Soldotna, including four color stations, and conclude at Soldotna Creek Park.

This is the second year that the series’ opening has been heralded by runners covered in vibrant powder. Last year, around 200 participated.

Music starts at the park at 6 p.m., when opener Woodrow will perform, followed by Hope Social Club at 7 p.m. That structure will be repeated each week of the series, with a lawn event starting before the music starts. The opener will begin at 6 p.m. and the headliner will perform from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
