Dykema takes 2nd at Drive, Pitch and Putt

Jaxon Dykema, 8, of Soldotna finished second for ages 7 to 9 in the Drive, Pitch and Putt competition Monday at Anchorage Golf Course.

The finish makes Dykema eligible for the sub-regional qualifier at Meriwether National Golf Club in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Drive, Pitch and Putt was founded in 2013 by the Masters Tournament, United States Golf Association and The PGA of America. The free event aims to grow the game by focusing on three fundamental skills of golf.
