Aldridge, Iannaccone excel at Moose Nugget Triathlon

Sterling’s Morgan Aldridge and Kenai’s Jon Iannaccone both had notable performances Sunday at the Moose Nugget Triathlon in Anchorage.

Aldridge finished second among women and second overall in the Sprint Distance. Pam Conn was the top woman and top overall finisher at 1 hour, 18 minutes and 44 seconds, while Aldridge came through at 1:19:06. The Sprint Distance is an 800-meter swim, 15-mile bike and 5-kilometer run.

Iannaccone was third among men in the Olympic Distance. He finished at 2:23:08, with Mackie Derrick taking the victory at 2:05:54. The Olympic Distance is a 1,500-meter swim, 40-kilometer bike and 10-kilometer run.
