HEA announces board candidates

Candidates have been selected for the Homer Electric Association’s Board of Directors, according to a press release from the organization.

In District 1 — encompassing the Kenai and Nikiski areas, as well as parts of Soldotna — the candidates are Daniel Hyman of Soldotna, Summer Lazenby of Soldotna and Wayne H. Ogle of Nikiski.

Running in District 2 are Dave Carey of Soldotna and Daniel Furlong of Soldotna. The district represents Soldotna, Sterling and Kasilof.

Four candidates are running in District 3 — south Kasilof to Kachemak Bay. They are Troy Jones of Homer, Lonnie Lambert of Ninilchik, Erin McKittrick of Seldovia and Douglas Stark of Homer.

The deadline to apply for a seat on the Board of Directors was last Friday. Ballots will be mailed to HEA members on April 4, and must be received no later than 5 p.m. on May 3 to count in the election.
