SoHi’s Bouschor signs with Portland Community College

Soldotna senior Morgan Bouschor signed a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday at Soldotna High School to play basketball for Portland Community College in Portland, Oregon.

Bouschor, a 5-foot-8 senior, has been on the varsity for SoHi since her freshman year. She also is a two-year starter and captain for the Stars.

“Morgan has had a tremendous career as a member of the Soldotna girls basketball team,” Soldotna head coach Kyle McFall wrote in a press release.

McFall said that this season, Bouschor is among the team leaders in points per game, steals per game and charges taken.

“She is a strong leader whose impact on the program and school go beyond the court,” McFall said.

The Panthers are a member of the Northwest Athletic Conference. McFall said in texting with Panthers head coach Graham McFall, who is not related to Kyle, Graham McFall said he is excited by Bouschor’s defensive ability and looks forward to helping Bouschor expand her offensive game.

Kyle McFall added that Bouschor is part of an incoming class for the Panthers that includes Wasilla’s Sheridan Green and international players.
