The Kenai River Brown Bears moved to 3-0 in exhibitions with a 2-0 victory over the Minnesota Wilderness on Friday in Cloquet, Minnesota.

The Bears also had a scrimmage against the Wilderness scheduled for Saturday at the Breezy Point Hockey Center in Minnesota, but that scrimmage was canceled, so the Bears held an intrasquad scrimmage instead.

Kenai River will do a jamboree against fellow Midwest Division teams Halloween weekend before opening the season Nov. 6 at the Chippewa (Wisconsin) Steel. The Bears are not scheduled to play at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex until Jan. 15 against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.

Friday, Luke Pavicich and Danny Fraga combined on the shutout. Laudon Poellinger scored in the first period, while Drew Jeffers lit the lamp in the third period.
