Three Seward children last seen on Aug. 5 and reported missing on Aug. 9 have been located safely in Cordova with their mother, according to Public Information Officer Ken Marsh with the Department of Public Safety.

On Aug. 6, the Office of Children’s Services reported to State Troopers in Seward that Slate Erickson, 4, Jedidiah Erickson, 7 and Pepper Erickson, 9, were removed from their foster home by an unkown individual. During the investigation, troopers found that the children’s mother, Melissa Salgado, 40, of Seward was also missing.

On Aug. 9, DPS issued a missing persons bulletin for the children and their mother. Later that day, Marsh told the Clarion that both the children and their mother were found safe in Cordova.
