Seward City Council names ball field for Ryan M. Lewis

The Seward City Council renamed Citizens Field to Ryan M. Lewis Field on Tuesday.
Lewis passed away unexpectedly at 37 in February. According to his obituary in the Anchorage Daily News, he was born and raised in Seward and was active in sports throughout his life and also loved to welcome visitors to the community.
Lewis was a part of the team that originally built Citizens Field, originally named for the group of citizens who volunteered to make the ball field happen.
