Minor earthquake felt on Tuesday

At 3:47 p.m. on Tuesday, a 3.7 magnitude earthquake was felt throughout the Kenai Peninsula region.

The minor earthquake’s epicenter was located at a depth of about 41 miles, approximately 11 miles southeast of Kasilof, according to a release form the Alaska Earthquake Center.

No damages or injuries have been reported.

“It was felt in Kenai, Soldotna and Ninilchik,” according to the center’s report.
