Nikiski soccer teams split

The Nikiski soccer clubs split a pair of season-opening games Tuesday against Houston in the Valley.

The Nikiski boys crushed the Hawks with a 5-0 shutout, while the Nikiski girls lost in a tight 1-0 contest.

Both Bulldogs teams travel to Homer next Tuesday for Northern Lights Conference matchups against the Mariners.
