| Brown bear talk scheduled | | | The Kenai River Center has announced the first event it its winter speaker series. On Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m., bear expert Will Troyer will present “The Lives of Brown Bears.” Troyer is a biologist and author of the recent book, “Into Brown Bear Country.” He will share some of his insights into brown bears developed from more than 30 years of scientific study and close encounters with bears.
