Nicole Yvette Collet, daughter of Dominique Collet, is the first graduate of River City Academy and a University of Alaska Anchorage Scholar recipient. Nicky aspires to be a tattoo artist and a mechanic. She made her place in our school as an active artist and role model and was always designing something weather it was a tattoo or something else that was tremendous.

With the exception of having taken a couple of math classes at Homer High, McKenzie has been home-schooled all her life. Her commitment to learning in this nontraditional setting is philosophical and ideological; her consistent and disciplined academic efforts have always been noteworthy. She is interested in medicine and plans to begin her postsecondary studies at Hillsdale College in Michigan. She is grateful to have received several local scholarships.

Scott has been active in sports all four years of high school. As captain, he led his varsity basketball team to a first-place finish in the regional tournament this year, was named All-Tournament in the state championships, captained his varsity soccer team and participated in track and cross country running. Scott serves as vice president of the National Honor Society, attends Peninsula Grace Brethren Church and has spent numerous hours volunteering in the community. He is the son of David and Ginny Litchfield Scott has been accepted into the Honors College at Boise State and will pursue a degree in engineering. He has been awarded the following college scholarships: Society of Petroleum Engineers ($1,000), Soldotna Chamber of Commerce ($2,000), UA Scholars, ($11,000), Boise State GEM High Technology ($20,000).

Jewell Briggs is the daughter of Dr. Amber and Bruce Briggs. She says she is grateful to my teachers, parents, friends, and mentors who have helped her reach this point in her life. Jewell is the oldest of six and is grateful to her siblings for challenging her to become better and to lead by example. Originally from the Southside of Chicago, Jewell moved to Alaska during the summer of 2004. Alaska has afforded her the opportunity to expand her world view and participate in a smaller, closer knit community. This coming fall, she will attend Loyola University in Chicago as a biochemistry major, while completing pre-medical requirements.

Zach Hibberd was raised in Soldotna by his parents, Brad and Linda. His activities include one year of wrestling, three years of football, and four years of soccer. He has worked at the Orca Movie Theater for the past two years and is an active member of his church's youth group. His GPA is 4.147, with math being his strongest subject, and he plans to attend Boise State University in the fall to major in engineering.

Grace Ehlers is one of 10 children who entered public school in seventh grade with no prior formal education. She has excelled in sports and academics and is now at the top of her class. She is president of both student government and National Honor Society and has excelled in basketball and volleyball. Grace plans to attend UAA. Her goal is to earn a master's in physical pherapy and someday her PhD.
