The Kenai Potters Guild will be having its Mother’s Day Sale on Saturday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the pottery studio on Cook Avenue in Old Town Kenai.

Debbie Adamson, the president of the guild, said there will be a variety of ceramics on sale — from small mugs to planters to larger serving platters.

The studio has been unable to host classes or events for over a year because of the pandemic, Adamson said, expressing that she’s excited to be having the sale in person. All of the pieces are donated by the potters.

Adamson said next fall she’s hoping to get students back in the pottery studio. There will be a sign-up sheet at the pottery sale for people interested in registering for classes.

The proceeds of the sale will go toward the pottery studio’s general expenses and equipment.
