The visiting Homer boys soccer team defeated Nikiski 13-2 on Tuesday in Peninsula Conference action.
The Mariners are 2-3-1 in the league and 5-5-1 overall. The Bulldogs drop to 0-6 in the league and 0-9 overall.
Mariners head coach Tyler Jeffres said in a text message that he was able to get some young players experience.
Nikiski coach Horst Haunold said his team continues to improve. By scoring twice, the Bulldogs matched their season total of goals coming into the game.
Shane Hall scored on an assist by Gavin Carmody and Lynn Deveer scored unassisted.
Haunold added that Dylan Hall was once again solid in goal, while Frank Nasibog and Jayden Anderson led the defense.
