The Choose Your Weapon event, held for the second year Saturday at Tsalteshi Trails, is designed to allow racers to choose between running, skiing and biking. However, due to weather conditions the past two winters, a racer has yet to have the opportunity to choose the skiing option, with mud and puddles ruling the day.

Tony Eskelin, choosing a mountain bike as his weapon, won the muddy 10-kilometer race in 39 minutes, 30 seconds. Jeremy Robida, on a bike, was second at 44:07, while Matt Pyhala, also on a bike, was third at 45:07.

Laura Hufford, riding a bike, was the first woman across the line and 11th overall at 54:38, while Aurora Agee, running, was next and 12th overall at 57:37 and Patty Moran, running, was third among women and 13th overall at 57:38.

Here are the other overall finishers: 4. Doug Armstrong, bike, 46:25; 5. Kevin Lauver, run, 48:57; 6. Karl Kincaid, run, 49:55; 7. Peter DiCarlo, bike, 50:43; 8. Jeff Helminiak, run, 50:48; 9. Will Morrow, bike, 53:09; 10. Jack Maryott, bike, 54:34; 14. Lisa Chambers, run, 1:05:39; 15. Wally Hufford, bike, 1:06:26; 16. Janice Habermann, run, 1:07:28; 17. Marian Werth, run, 1:07:29; 18.
