SoHi wins Homer Round Robin Rumble

The Soldotna wrestling team won the Best Western Bidarka Round Robin Rumble in Homer on Friday and Saturday.

The Stars scored 252 points to win the seven-team meet, while Kenai was second with 187, Nikiski was third with 183 and Homer was sixth with 121.

Finishing first for Soldotna were Samuel Henry at Day 2 112 pounds and varsity A 103, Ryan Buchanan at Day 2 125 at varsity A 125, Trevor Michael at Day 2 152 and Varsity A 152, Edgar Land at Day 2 160 and varsity A 160, Zane Wright at Day 2 171, Kaytlin McAnelly at Day 1 and 2 132 girls, Trinity Donovan at Day 1 and 2 145 girls, Alyssa McDonald at Day 2 165 girls, Jaykob Kemp at varsity B 160 and Kellyn Hansen at Day 1 120 girls.

Taking first for Kenai were Owen Whicker at Day 2 135, Kage Adkins at Day 2 160, Reymond Perez at varsity A 140 and Jenna Yeoman at Day 1 165 girls.

Taking first for Nikiski was Tim Goodnight at varsity Day 2 189 and varsity A 189, Mayaac Schmit at varsity day 2 285 and varsity A 285, Paisley Maxwell at Day 2 120 girls, Sam Yerkes at varsity A 171, Robert Isabel at varsity A 215 and Johnny Ralston at varsity B 171.

Taking first for Homer were Paul Minke at varsity day 2 130 and varsity A 130, Russell Nyvall at varsity Day 2 145 and varsity A 145.
