Seward volleyball finishes

The Seward Seahawks wrapped up a successful weekend of play at the Valdez Invitational tournament with a run into the semifinal round.

Seward won each of its round-robin games except one, a loss against host Valdez, to finish in a three-way tie with North Pole and Valdez following pool play, but Seward was seeded third in the Gold bracket. The Seahawks won two out of four single games in pool play.

Seward faced off with North Pole in the semifinal contest, ultimately coming up short as the Patriots advanced to face Valdez in the final.

The Seahawks also placed Ashley Jackson, Coral Petrosius and Allie Toloff on the all-tournament team.
