Rain cancels all Southcentral Conference baseball; tourney now to take place Friday, Saturday

Due to rain making the fields unplayable Thursday, the Southcentral Conference baseball tournament will now take place Friday and Saturday.

In addition to Coral Seymour Memorial Park and the Kenai Little League fields, the tournament now also will take place at the Soldotna Little League fields.

The defending champion is Palmer. The top three teams at the conference tourney earn automatic berths to state. There also are three at-large berths available to state.

Friday’s games

Game 1 — Soldotna vs. Homer, 10 a.m. (Sol)

Game 2 — Palmer vs. Grace, 10 a.m. (Ken)

Game 3 — Kodiak vs. Redington, 1 p.m. (CS)

Game 4 — Kenai vs. Houston, 1 p.m. (Ken)

Game 5 — Game 1 winner vs. Game 2 winner, 4 p.m. (Ken)

Game 6 — Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 winner, 7 p.m. (CS)

Game 7 — Game 1 loser vs. Game 2 loser, 4 p.m. (Sol)

Game 8 — Game 3 loser vs. Game 4 loser, 7 p.m. (Sol)

Saturday’s games

Game 9 — Game 7 winner vs. Game 6 loser, 10 a.m. (CS)

Game 10 — Game 8 winner vs. Game 5 loser, 10 a.m. (Ken)

Game 11 (Championship) — Game 5 winner vs. Game 6 winner, 1 p.m. (CS)

Game 12 — Game 9 winner vs. Game 10 winner, 1 p.m. (Ken)

Game 13 — Game 12 winner vs. Game 11 loser 5 p.m. (CS)
