Boise State redshirt freshman Allie Ostrander finished second Saturday in the women’s 5,000-meter race at the Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field championships in Logan, Utah.

After winning the conference title in the women’s 10,000 meters on Thursday, the 2015 Kenai Central graduate returned Saturday to make a clean sweep, but had to settle for second. The two finishes combined for 18 total points to the Boise State women’s effort of 61 points, netting the Broncos a sixth-place finish in the team standings.

Ostrander attempted a late charge at New Mexico’s Alice Wright, who won with a time of 16:17.42, while Ostrander finished at 16:20.45.
