Ostrander earns All-Academic honor

Soldotna’s Allie Ostrander earned All-Academic honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association this week.

To be eligible, students need to have completed two semesters at their current institution with a grade-point average of 3.25 or higher. Ostrander has two semesters in at Boise State, with a grade-point of 4.0 working toward a kinesiology major.

The athletic portion could have been met in the indoor or outdoor season. Student-athletes needed to finish the season ranked in the top 96 in any championship individual event, or top 48 in any championship relay event.

The women’s team at Boise State also won an All-Academic honor, with a cumulative grade point of 3.35.
